1.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all rental agreements between Crowd Rental (hereinafter: “lessor”), located at Raas van Gaverestraat 72, 9000 Ghent, and the renter (details on contract page 1). By signing the rental agreement or by accepting the rented equipment, the renter agrees to these general terms and conditions.
2.1 The rental period begins at the moment the equipment is handed over to the renter and ends when the equipment is properly returned to the lessor.
2.2 Extension of the rental period can only be agreed upon in writing and is subject to the availability of the equipment.
3.1 The renter is fully responsible for the rented equipment from the moment of receipt until it is returned.
3.2 The rented equipment is delivered in good condition. The renter must inspect the equipment upon receipt and report any defects immediately. Defects reported later will be considered as having occurred during the rental period and are at the renter’s expense.
4.1 Crowd Rental offers limited insurance coverage for the rented equipment. Full risk of loss, theft, or damage lies with the renter. The renter is advised to take out their own insurance for the rented equipment.
4.2 In the event of damage or loss, the renter is required to reimburse the new replacement value of the damaged or lost equipment, unless otherwise agreed with Crowd Rental.
5.1 The rented equipment may only be used for its intended purposes and by qualified persons.
5.2 If the rented equipment is used outside of Belgium or in high-risk situations (such as use on a boat, at competitions, demonstrations, on the exterior of a vehicle, in a war zone, etc.), the renter must request prior written permission from Crowd Rental.
5.3 The renter is not allowed to make modifications to the rented equipment without the written consent of the lessor.
6.1 In case of damage or loss, a deductible of €1000 applies to insured items.
6.2 In the event of theft, loss, or damage of uninsured items, the renter is fully liable for the new replacement value of the lost or damaged product. With the consent of Crowd Rental, the renter may purchase and transfer an identical device or part (same brand and type) to Crowd Rental.
6.3 The renter must immediately report any damage or loss and take the necessary steps to prevent further damage.
7.1 The insurance, if applicable, only covers damage or loss within Belgium and countries of the European Union. The insurance explicitly does not cover:
7.2 Accessories listed on the rental agreement that are not insured are excluded from the insurance coverage.
8.1 The renter must return the equipment in the same condition as it was received, except for normal wear from proper use.
8.2 If the equipment is returned late or in damaged condition, additional charges may apply.
9.1 All agreements with Crowd Rental are subject to Belgian law.
9.2 In the event of disputes, these shall be submitted to the competent court in the district where Crowd Rental is located.
