General With the FT-20X, Antari offers a mobile, battery-powered smoke machine, which makes it ideal for fire training and film sets. It has no heating element, so you can use it straight away, with no warm-up time. A single rotary knob on the machine sets the amount of smoke (output). At 100% output, the machine runs for about 11 minutes continuously before the battery is empty. You control it via DMX or manually. You can also operate the FT-20X wirelessly with the separately available WTR-20, or wired with the separately available Z-3 remote. Complete set on the go Everything you need to get started is in the box, so you can take the FT-20X to any training location or set without hassle. Besides the smoke machine itself, you get the battery base, a charger, a bottle of water-based FLM-05P smoke fluid and a flight case to transport it all safely. The charger fully recharges the battery in about three hours; a light on the adapter changes colour when charging is done, so there's no guesswork. Detaching the battery base takes one lever: unlock, slide the head off and you're done. At 8.5 kg and about 29 x 11 x 24 cm, it's easy to carry up a staircase or into a container. Training more often somewhere with mains power? Add the separately available FT-20S power base and run the machine from the mains, without waiting for a full battery. Note that Antari only allows its own fluid; other fluids can clog the machine and void the warranty.
